Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using FileIO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, please do not use our Service.
Description of Service
FileIO provides two free browser-based file-transfer tools. (1) Text & File Transfer: WebRTC peer-to-peer transfer between phone and PC with QR-code pairing; content never touches our servers. (2) Quick Share: temporary server-assisted file sharing via Cloudflare R2 — uploaded files expire within 3 days or after the first download (whichever comes first) and are deleted permanently.
User Responsibilities
You may not use the Service for illegal purposes. You are responsible for the content you transfer or share. You must not attempt to abuse, exploit, or overload the Service.
Privacy & Data
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Text & File Transfer uses peer-to-peer encryption and ephemeral sessions — we cannot see the content. Quick Share temporarily stores the uploaded file on Cloudflare R2 until the first download or expiry (max 3 days), then deletes it. We do not scan, analyze, or sell uploaded content, and we do not collect personal data beyond standard request logs.
User-Uploaded Content (Quick Share)
When you use Quick Share you are responsible for the content you upload. You must not upload: illegal material; content that infringes intellectual-property rights; malicious software, viruses, or executable payloads intended to harm others; content that violates applicable laws. We reserve the right to delete any uploaded file at any time, without notice, if we believe in good faith it violates these terms. Uploaded files are auto-deleted within 3 days regardless.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design system, code, and branding, is the property of FileIO. You may use the tools freely but may not reproduce or redistribute the Service itself.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for data loss during transfers, service interruptions, or any damages resulting from the use of the Service.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
